Promonte, acknowledged as one of the leading and most innovative providers of communications services in Montenegro, has been chosen by Telenor Group to run the pilot project for ubiquitous Internet access - Wireless/Mobile Broadband. The project is one of several steps in a group-wide activity called “Internet to the people”, taking advantage of the combination of up to date technologies like 3GHSPA, WiMAX and WiFi. The success of this project confirms Telenor’s leadership in mobile broadband Internet delivery, and gives invaluable experience to the Group and its affiliates.

Thanks to expertise, unparalleled devotion and commitment of Comarch, Promonte and Telenor R&I, the primary launch of the network and its services took place just two and a half months after Comarch engineers first arrived in Montenegro. This, in turn, allowed Promonte’s subscribers, as well as tourists visiting Montenegro, to take full advantage of fast internet services within the most active areas of the region.
